Can Phantum give simple English answers for non-native speakers?
Yes. Turn on Easy English and every answer uses short sentences, everyday words and no idioms, so it is quick to read and natural to say out loud. It is one switch in the account menu on the Setup screen, and it applies to every answer until you turn it off.

Turn it on
- On the Setup screen, open the account menu (your picture).
- Switch on Easy English.
- Start the session as usual. Every card now uses simple English.
What changes
- Shorter sentences, one idea each.
- Everyday words instead of business jargon.
- No idioms or phrases that only make sense to a native speaker.
- The facts, numbers and structure of the answer stay the same.
Other things that help
- Every card starts with one sentence you can say while you read the rest.
- Answers come in three or four short beats instead of a block of text.
- Facts only you know are left as a blank, so you never read out something untrue.
Language
Phantum is built for interviews held in English. Easy English keeps the answer in English but makes it simpler.
