How do I get answers during a live interview?
Press Get answer (Ctrl+Shift+J) when the interviewer asks something. A card starts at once: a first sentence to start speaking with, then the answer in three or four short beats you can glance at. You can also type a question or analyse your screen for a coding problem.

Yes. Press the phone button on the strip and scan the code with an iPhone or Android phone signed in to the same Phantum account. The phone shows each answer as it arrives and can press Get answer, type a question or analyse your screen. It runs in the phone's browser, with nothing to install.

Yes. Turn on Easy English and every answer uses short sentences, everyday words and no idioms, so it is quick to read and natural to say out loud. It is one switch in the account menu on the Setup screen, and it applies to every answer until you turn it off.

Can the interviewer see Phantum on screen share in Zoom, Teams or Google Meet?
No. Windows leaves the strip out of every screen share, recording and screenshot, whether you share one window, a browser tab or your whole screen, in any call app. It cannot hide from a camera pointed at your screen, and some proctoring or test apps can see which programs are running.

Your audio goes from your computer straight to the transcription model, on a key that works only for that session. Phantum never receives or stores the audio. Transcripts stay on your computer for 30 days, and the answer records Phantum keeps to fix problems are deleted after 30 days.

How do sessions and minutes work, and what if I run out mid-interview?
One session is one hour of live interview, and a shorter call uses only the minutes it took. If your minutes run out mid-interview, the session pauses instead of ending and keeps listening for up to 10 minutes; buy a top-up in the browser and it carries on with nothing lost.

Cancel anytime from Billing in your account: you keep your minutes until the period ends, and nothing renews after it. Partly used periods are not refunded, but if something went wrong on our side, such as a billing bug or an outage during your interview, email support and we make it right.
