Can I control Phantum from my phone (iPhone or Android)?

Pair a phone

1. Start a session on your computer.
2. Press the phone button on the strip. A code and a link appear under it.
3. Scan the code with your phone's camera, or open the link on the phone.
4. Sign in with the same Google account you use on the computer. The phone joins the session.

What the phone can do

• Show the answer the strip shows, block by block as it arrives, and the last few answers before it.
• Press Get answer, type a question or analyse the computer's screen.
• Show what Get answer will answer next, in the same words as the strip.
• Pause and End stay on the computer, so a phone in a pocket cannot end your interview.

Why use it

Reading a phone propped below the screen keeps your eyes and hands off the computer, and you can press Get answer without touching the keyboard. Your computer still does all the work: the phone sends a press and shows the result, so answers use the same transcript and résumé, at the same speed.

Security

• Encrypted end to end between your computer and your phone. Phantum's servers pass the messages along and cannot read them.
• Only phones signed in to your own account can join, and only with the code.
• A code works for 15 minutes. Press New code to let another phone join later.
• Up to 3 phones per session. Disconnect all removes every phone and makes the old code useless.
• The code is hidden while the strip is visible on screen share, so it never shows in a shared screen.
• Screenshots taken by Analyse screen are never sent to the phone.

If the phone does not connect

• Check the phone is signed in to the same account as the computer.
• If more than 15 minutes have passed, press New code and scan again.
• If 3 phones are already paired, press Disconnect all and pair again.
